NorFA Lichen Courses

In 2004 and 2006 two courses for PhD students in lichenology have been held at Uppsala University (2004) and Stockholm (2006) under the leadership of Dr. Kristina Articus. The courses were sponsored by NorFa (www.norfa.no) and were open for students of the Nordic and Baltic countries. The first course was entitled "Lichen Taxonomy" and was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Mats Wedin. The second course "Molecular studies in lichenology" was given together with Dr. Jan-Eric Mattsson. This course had also as goal to form a network among young lichenologists in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
